Here's why.
The venue has a "behind the board only" taping policy. That's why it sounds boomy.

taper was too far back
the recording sounds very boomy / too far away. like they were in the very back of the venue, with a very large / boomy ceiling. The individual instruments are hard to hear at times, but for the most part they are clear, but it's a bummer the taper wasn't closer. The show setlist was fun though.

+ Transition to Umphrey's McGee's set (see below for explanation)
The "Acoustic Planet Vol. II Tour" was explained pre-show as a non-stop evening of music. Each band played their set which sequed into the set of the next band. There was no "set-break". Gradually members of the next band joined on stage while members of the former band exited. This continued until the next band was completely on stage and the former band was off. In order to capture the entire evening of music exactly as it was played I have left the end tracks without a fade-out. The order of the evening was as follows: Marc Broussard, Umphrey's McGee followed by Bela Fleck & the Flecktones. These sets can be assembled seamlessly. Enjoy these recordings! It was truly a special evening.
